On 17/11, in Bali, Indonesia, after attending the opening ceremony of ASEAN Summit, the 19th, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and ASEAN leaders attended the Plenary Session, with Council meeting ASEAN Business Advisory and other meeting in the framework of this Summit.

To review progress in implementing the Roadmap for ASEAN Community and Connectivity, the ASEAN leaders suggested promoting the positive results achieved, to continue promoting concrete measures and synchronous improve coordination and performance monitoring at both national and regional levels, paying attention to coherence and integration of regional agreements on the programs and plans for national development as well as available resources needed for ensure timely implementation of agreements already have.

At the same time, ASEAN will continue its efforts to narrow the development gap, sub-regional development, including the Mekong Sub-regional cooperation in the fields of economic development and social, as well as environmental protection and use sustainable use of water resources in ASEAN's efforts to promote sustainable development and equal in area as well as building the ASEAN Community.

The ASEAN leaders agreed to strengthen coordination and enhance the role and contribution of ASEAN on the joint work of the international community.

Accordingly, ASEAN should strengthen the coordinating position at forums like the UN, APEC, ASEM, G20 ... to contribute to dealing with global issues of common regional concern such as energy security, food , climate change, maritime security, transnational issues ... Also, the association should continue to the highest priority to building the ASEAN Community and concentrate on design issues for the region itself.

The leaders stressed the need to continue to strengthen solidarity and unity in ASEAN because this is the synergy of the Association which, should strengthen dialogue, confidence building, and for other issues also particular, the water will settle in the spirit of peace, friendship and the ASEAN Charter.

At the same time, the Association will actively promote and share construction standards of conduct, and promote the value of effective enforcement tools and cooperation mechanisms such as the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), South East Asia Treaty does not have nuclear weapons (SEANWFZ), Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC), ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), Conference of Defence Ministers of ASEAN expansion (ADMM +) ... because the goal is peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.
